Wayne Woods

Wayne R. Woods, 61, East Moline, lost his battle with cancer on April 2, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. Friday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. A memorial fund has been established.

Wayne was born Jan. 14, 1951, in Moline. He graduated from United Township High School. Wayne worked as an alignment mechanic in the Quad-Cities area.

He enjoyed fishing and loved goose hunting. Wayne served in the U.S. National Guard.

Survivors include his sister, Gail, and brother, David, both of East Moline.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
