I wasn't able to be there for Collette and her family at the the time of her sickness, and for that I am sorry. Collette was sunshine and lightning! With her tender heart and electrifying smile, she captured your attention and kept you going on a "rock and rolling ride"! I could always expect the unexpected when we spent time together, and I always knew it was going to be fun. She was my maid of honor in my wedding and I'll never forget looking over at her during that solemn moment to see her choking on her "communion wafer"! I didn't know if I should panic and apply the heimlic manuvor or run to the bathroom because I was laughing so hard! The Lord was kind and she did start breathing and getting her color back, so I didn't have to run off and leave poor Pete wondering where his new bride had gone! She was fun, funny, smart and pretty: the world is a little sadder without her! May the Lord bless her family and keep her wonderful memories alive! Chris Borzcz

My heart was heavy when I found out Colletta had died. We spent a lot of time together from 6th thru 9th grade riding horses and ponies all over E.Moline and riding our bikes to the Moline Pool. She was a bright light in the world so full of life and sunshine. She was so open and authentic and fun. She liked everybody and was kind to all. I am so glad I knew her. My heart goes out to her family and my condolences. May God bless you all with comfort and great memories.
