Thomas K. Whitney, 70, of Silvis passed away March 5, 2021 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Per his wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
Thomas was born September 23, 1950 in Moline, IL the son of Martin J. and Mona L. (Adlfinger) Whitney. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. Thomas married Sandra Standard January 14, 1984 in East Moline. He worked at Highland Park Bowl for over 40 years, was an avid bowler and also enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include his wife Sandra; stepsons Darren and Danny Standard; step grandchildren Layla and Trinity and siblings Kirk (Karen) Whitney, Edward (Cathy) Whitney, and Kathy Collins.

I'd like to send my condolences to the family of Tom along with the Bible's promise of a resurrection for our dead loved ones. Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29.Death indeed is an enemy, yet soon our Heavenly Father Jehovah God will remember our loved ones asleep in death and bring them back to life in an earthly paradise. All the heartache and pain experienced by mankind will be a thing of the past.
