Robert (Bob) Dale

June 30, 1951-March 31, 2021

Bob Dale, 69 passed away March 31, 2021. Bob was born on June 30, 1951 in Moline the oldest son of Albert and Shirley (Goday) Dale. He graduated from United Township High School in 1969. He married his sweetheart and wife of nearly 47 years, Michelle Neumann on August 17, 1974 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Geneseo.

Bob met Michelle while walking his German Shepherd dog (Hans #1) in Geneseo's town square. They both shared a lifelong love of raising German Shepherds. Bob worked at John Deere for 39 years in several departments (especially enjoying marketing) until his "retirement" in 2010 which did not slow him down at all.

Bob loved riding horses and Harleys, target shooting, he looked forward to every deer season, he made his own arrows, bows and targets and he loved bragging about his gardening skills; he thought his tomatoes were always the best! He loved telling stories around the campfire while eating a bowl of his homemade chili. He made his own venison jerky but would sometimes hide it on purpose.

When not outdoors, Bob could be found watching Western Classics on television. He loved John Wayne, the Lone Ranger, Chuck Norris, and Stephen Seagall. Bob loved talking to people, he had the gift of gab and the gift of turning a stranger into a friend. We all will miss him dearly!

Those of us left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Michelle of Queen City, MO; two children, Jacob Dale (Allison Aird) of North Liberty, IA and Rebecca (Mark) Ague of Colona; siblings, Diana Dale of Colona, Chuck Dale (Nancy Cottingham) of Colona, Debbie (Jim) Donald, of Moline, Bill Dale (Patty Kephart) of Milan, Marianne (Michael) Bailey of Gallatin, TN, Mike Dale of Colona, and Richard Dale of Davenport, IA; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patti Ketelsen.

Services were held on April 5, 2021 in Queen City, MO with burial at JimTown Cemetery. Memorials were made to the Schuyler County Cancer Relief Fund and to the Queen City Fire Department.

I'd like to send my condolences to the family of Robert along with the Bible's promise of a resurrection for our dead loved ones. Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29.

Death indeed is an enemy, yet soon our Heavenly Father Jehovah God will remember our loved ones asleep in death and bring them back to life in an earthly paradise. All the heartache and pain experienced by mankind will be a thing of the past.
Rev 21:3, 4.

May this hope bring you the comfort that you need at this time!

Sincerely,

Kenneth Glenn
