William R. Mc Bride, 58, of Colona, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday, September 25, at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Burial is at Andover Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
He was born Feb. 19, 1951, in Moline, to William Lawrence and Bessie Juanita Sparks Mc Bride.
He served in the Army during Vietnam. He worked at Kone as a technical writer for 18 years. He enjoyed reading and working out at the YMCA.
Surviving are his son, Bill (Sheri) Mc Bride, Colona; granddaughter, Katelynn, Colona; brothers, Lawrence and Timothy; and sister, Valerie Willis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
