Michael "Mike" Einfeldt Obituary

Michael “Mike” A. Einfeldt, 73, of East Moline passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Silvis. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the Church. Memorials may be made in care of First Baptist Church, Silvis.

Mike was born on September 30, 1951 in Moline, IL a son of Harry and Pat (Wilson) Einfeldt. He was a member of the Silvis Little League Championship team as a youth. He was a championship bowler as a young man. Mike graduated from United Township High School in 1969 and went on to attend the University of Iowa, where he earned his degree in Business Administration. He married Ruth Lewis on October 13, 2001.

Mike worked within the banking and finance industry for his entire career. He was the comptroller at Community Bank before later transferring to Baird, where he was an investment advisor. He later switched to Quad City Bank and Trust and retired in 2016. Mike established his own tax business and continued preparing taxes until his death. He enjoyed keeping up with all of his clients.

Mike was a member of First Baptist Church in Silvis. In his spare time, Mike loved traveling, especially cruises. He also enjoyed spending time with friends, family and clients. Mike was very passionate about his country and a true patriot.

Those left to cherish Mike’s memory include his wife, Ruth Einfeldt; children, Ben (Alexis) Lewis, Sarah (Adam) Jackson, Andrus, Alicia, Izaiah and Aleeyah; grandchildren, Houston, Amelia and Canaan Jackson; brother, Harry Einfeldt; niece, Audrey Einfeldt; and nephew, Jared Einfeldt.
